After the invasion began, angels would invade the Hells and begin to siege the walls of Dis. Dispater would put the city of full lockdown, preventing anyone from entering and leaving.

			As th consequences of the Infernal Insurrection began to spread across the Hells, Dispater's paranoia at losing his power began to grow. To secure his position he would sell war machines to archdevils on adjoining layers to create new alliances and fast track the production of an army of Iron Devils. Dispater knew that with the Styx gone, no new souls could enter the Hells, meaning no new Devils could be made, meaning it was only a matter of time before all he had would be whittled away into nothing. So to reinforce his armies and collection of souls, and prompted by a failed assassination attempt on his life by the Ordained, Dispater would initiate an invasion of Iron Devils into the Material Plane.

			When the armies of the archangel Gabriel began to siege the walls of Dis in response, Dispater's actions became more violent and frantic, allowing the devil [[Belphegor]] to take advantage of the distraction and attack Dispater directly with the help of the heroes, the Hellraisers. During the battle, Dispater would transform into a massive construct version of himself by tearing down his Iron Tower and rebuilding his body. But it wouldn't be enough as he would be defeated and slain by the Hellraisers.

Each possessed a magical rune imbued with Othea's magic hat granted them immense power and made them invulnerable against the magic of the Ruby Rod, in turn making them immune to the attacks and spells of every archdevil who drew power from the rod, While the Ordained believed they were receiving their orders from Othea directly, they were instead being manipulated and used as pawns by the archdevil Mammon.

			The Ordained infiltrated the Hells and used the demon Ratatrosk to kill the ferryman Charon and destroy the River Styx. After the Styx's destruction they would spread across the Hells causing chaos wherever they went with the aims of acquiring a [[Ruby Heart]], a large piece of the Ruby Rod possessed by each lord of a layer of the Hells. By the end the Ordained would obtain three Ruby Hearts with the aid of the archduchess [[Glasya]] and would perform a ritual in Hellmar to revive Othea. At this point almost every member of the ordained had been slain, with Thrya herself dying at the hands of her goddess.

			Long ago, the Ten Hells used to be a realm known as [[Thalmyr]], ruled by the goddess of [[Giant\|Giants]] Othea. In order to create the cycle of souls, the creator gods sent the Archangel Asmodeus to slay Othea. Asmodeus would take Othea's heart and break it in two, turning one half into souls, and the other into the Ruby Rod, an artifact that gave him complete control over Thalmyr and elevated him to godhood. Asmodeus would transform Thalmyr into the Hells and would transform wicked souls into Devils to fight back the incursions of Demons from the Abyss.

			What remained of Othea Asmodeus sealed beneath the River Styx. He then struck her name from the realm and removed all traces of her from Quelmar. her memory persisted though with the Cult of the Shattered Mountain, an order of giants who worshipped Othea and sough to resurrect her.

			In his own schemes to conquer the Hells, the archdevil Mammon manipulated the cult into doing his bidding. He taught them how to draw power from Othea, how to destroy the River Styx, and how to resurrect their goddess. The cults plan required a Ruby Heart, one of the nine pieces of the Ruby Rod given to the rulers of the layers, and instigated chaos across every layer in hopes to unseat one of the devil lords. Their plans were successful, gaining not just one but three Ruby Hearts, taken from [[Elytria]] in Duumal and Mammon in Minarous, and freely given by Glasya in Nessus who allied herself with the cult.

			With these shards the cult managed to resurrect Othea, though all that remained of her was a destructive and monstrous spirit that was a hollow shell of what she once was.
