'''Snow Elves''', or '''Bremish Elves''', are a sub-race of Elves on the world of Quelmar that exist primarily in the arctic regions of Breme. They are the most remote of the Elven species due to the climate of their home.

== Physiology and Culture ==
Snow Elves, like much of their Elven kin, Snow Elves are slender and graceful, appearing ethereally beautiful to humans and other races. They are shorter than humans, and weigh less than them on average. They are immune to sleeping magic and do not really need to rely on sleep. Yet that's where the similarities end. Snow Elves being in Breme have a physiology adapted to their snowy lands. They have much lighter skin compared to their brethren. Common hair colors are various forms of white, silver, and gray. They have an innate acclimation to the cold, with the coldest areas of Breme being only discomforting at worst to a Snow Elf while deadly to even the Bremish. Snow Elves are more practical given the harsh nature of the land they live in, setting aside elegance for practicality. Where other Elves live in elegant houses, Snow Elves tend to live in simple fur shelters. Where other elves prefer jewelry and elegant clothing, Snow Elves often are found wearing fur-laced clothing and boots without any jewelry in sight. Where Elves use metal weapons, Snow Elves often are better with simple wooden weapons like spears and bows. Snow Elf magicians also imbue ice and fire magic often in their abilities, with magic users using these skills to assist in their villages. Wizards are the most common magic users among the Snow Elves, but sorcerers show up now and then, and are treated as blessings from the divine that a being with natural magical abilities was born to a village.

Because of there practical nature, Snow Elves are less haughty as their kin, being more accepting of cooperation from other species. After all, the arctic does not care much for pride or the arrogant. Snow Elves have a more cooperative relationship with the people of Breme and other humanoid species that could be found within the lands of Breme. Often times explorers and traders shipwrecked in Breme are granted assistance from a local Snow Elf village. The Snow Elves also do not coalesce around nation states. Snow Elf society is tribal, with independent villages spread out across Breme, often engaging in trade, conflict, and cooperation with each other as independent entities.
