Cronus Morningstar, better known under the callsign HADES, is a mob boss and pilot of the Cerberus, an ARC Polemos II model lancer. He now works on the crew of Simon, as an enforcer and tank front liner.
“So I have one question for you: Do you want him dead?”
Physical Appearance
A tall figure in military style gear, but decked out in blacks and reds. Wearing a black skull balaclava and a red beret adorned with a carnation flower patch, and red round glasses that usually keep his eyes hidden.
Underneath the mask, he is an older man with streaks of grey in his swept back red hair and thin beard.
Personality
A calculating and vengeful spirit, there’s a reason he was an enforcer before he became the mob boss he is today. He speaks in a mild southern accent, and laughs his real laugh very little. In battle, he can become borderline cruel, as he relishes in the thrill of exerting his power over his opponents. He also whistles an old melody whenever he is about to finish the job.
However, when he is no longer in a position of power, he silently flounders, very uncomfortable in a compromised state, and his only shield is the air of confidence that has carried him so far already.
History
Cronus Morningstar grew up in an outer Diasphorian world, but after losing his mother and brother to gang violence, he began to build up a criminal empire with his father in opposition, working as the head enforcer of the Olympus Legion Gang. As the empire grew, mostly due to the fear created by Cronuses brutal enforcement, he earned the nickname—and eventually callsign—of “Hades”, due to being well known as an “accountant of death” just like the mythical figure. If he wanted someone gone, the grave was dug before he even ordered the hit. Eventually, his father was assassinated, but Cronus quickly rose to the title and doubled the size and power, eventually maintaining full control of his planet with his mech “Cerberus”, a custom Polaris model Lancer.
Eventually, he had a daughter with an unknown woman, who he cherished very much. However, as she grew older, the two grew apart, as his daughter didn’t approve of his criminal lifestyle. Despite their separation, a rival gang captured and eventually killed Cronus’ daughter, and he vowed to never be a father again.
When Simon sent out the call for mercenaries, he appointed a new temporary leader in command, and arrived on board the ship, where he now seeks to gain control of the entire system in one fell swoop.
Cerberus
The Cerberus is an ARC Polemos II model lancer that was stolen and modified (mostly cosmetically) by Hades years ago. It features a black and grey body with cream and red highlights, as well as a bright red lance. It’s shield is adorned with a Carnation and the numbers 666.

The Olympus Legion
The Olympus Legion is the gang founded by Cronus and his father, which grew to have planet-wide control and is now fully ran by Hades.
Weapons
Hades wields a red and black pump shotgun with explosive rounds, a steel revolver named “Persephone” and two frag grenades in non-mech combat.

Trivia
- The tune Hades whistles is “Hey, Little Songbird” from the musical Hadestown, though in lore, it’s the tune his mother sang him before bed every night.
- His voice is meant to sound like the character “Deimos” from the game “Rainbow Six Siege”. Much of his personality is based off of the character as well.
- The design of the character mostly comes from Moses’s—the player who plays Hades— custom Ghost build in the game “Ghost Recon: Breakpoint”
- The carnation on both his beret and Cerberus’ shield is a reference again to Hadestown.
- Hades earned his callsign by becoming known as “The Accountant of Death”, in reference to the Greek god of the same name, who was also the god of the dead, since when Hades wanted someone gone, they would be so without him ever pulling a trigger.
