Bimpnottin is a Halfling NPC in The Fantasial Freeze. He was originally invented as the backup character for Thomas, player of Enrik, and was then turned into an NPC after Enrik somehow survived into Act 3 of the campaign.
Physical Appearance
Bimpnottin resembles Bilbo Baggins.
Personality
Bimpnottin is a hunter by trade, and though he has the keen eye and slipperiness of one, he is very skittish, and very confused. He lives a simple life in Ellwick, and is greatly confused by magic and the divine.
History
Bimpnottin was born in Amusa, and moved to Osugbo in 440 PR, where he lived in Ellwick until his disappearance in 466 PR. In 464 PR, when Enrik arrived in Ellwick, the two became fast friends and roommates. Bimpnottin taught Enrik about the different nature of Osugbo, and Enrik taught Bimpnottin basic smithing. The two were inseperable while they lived together. In 466 PR, when Ellwick was attacked by Yukagir, the Mammoth Champion of the Bhearrah, he escaped the attack into the caves of the Burnale Mountains the town was built by, seeking help from the dwarves inside. In the caves, Bimpnottin encountered Enrik, but the future version of him, having travelled back in time after reforging Karavox and being flung through time uncontrollably. Enrik and his party attempted to explain their situation to Bimpnottin, even resorting to showing Bimpnottin a room hidden within the walls of Dwarven Ruins, which, to everyone's surprise, contained the body of Bimpnottin, holding the Obsidian Heart used to reforge Karavox. The entire group was taken aback by this. It was everyone's understanding that they had to find Bimpnottin's body in that room later in time to find the Obsidian Heart used to send Yuki and Enrik back through time, but now, with Bimpnottin's body in front of them, eleven years before they are set to find it, everyone was speechless. Bimpnottin promptly passed out, and woke up again in Creation, in a bed with Yuki and Enrik by his side.
The rest of Bimpnottin's story has yet to be told, but in the meantime, he spends his days travelling through time with Enrik and Yuki. For him, he wishes to see and hunt fantastical beasts that he could never see in his time, and with Enrik, the semi-rogue Eye of Chronepsis at his side, always there to reset the timeline, a paradox is sure to never happen. One thing is for certain, at some point, somewhere in Bimpnottin's future, he must take his final breath, hidden inside a small room within the walls of an ancient Dwarven city, underneath the Burnale Mountains, clutching the Obsidian Heart that sets this all in motion in the first place.
Powers and Abilities
Bimpnottin is a skilled archer and tracker. Though he lacks traditional magic, his keen eye and natural ability to hit the weakspot of almost every target makes him a deadly combatant when hidden on the battlefield.
Bimpnottin also possesses a jackal companion, named Leo. The two beings have the ability to share their senses and speak to each other telepathically. Leo is a good friend of Enrik's ward, Deerward, and enjoys chewing on the bark lined legs of the magical stag.
In DDWN, Bimpnottin is specced as a Level 7 Beastmaster/Tactician, specializing in tracking, debuffing, and ranged execution attacks.
