Team Stabby was a special stealth operations team during the Arctic Altercation tasked with a single mission—infiltrate The Paladin's secret resting spot in Levinkan and stab him with the Sorcyst Blade to teleport him to the ambush location in Amusa!
History
This team assembled some of the sneakiest heroes in the anti-Paladin resistance: Maverick, Jedit, Ynnis, Flynn, and Lucian. Starting at the shore of the pond containing The Paladin's secluded cavern, Maverick bestowed his Blessing of the Trickster to each member of the team to give them a stealth advantage. Then, Jedit casted Pass Without Trace on the team as they all donned insulation gear and plunged into the pond—swimming beneath the water to the cavern's only entrance. Jedit set up a Sneering Strike trap at the mouth of the cavern in case The Paladin tried to escape, then—concealed in a veil of Invisibility courtesy of Lucian, Jedit crept up on The Paladin in his resting room while Ynnis casted Sending to alert the ambush team in Amusa of their foe's impending arrival.
However, Team Stabby had made a near-fatal error: they forgot to post a lookout. So as Jedit thrusted the Sorcyst Blade into the backside of who appeared to be The Paladin, the actual Paladin rushed into the room and tackled Team Stabby from inside his rolling ice ball. Meanwhile, at the ambush location in Amusa—the fake Paladin that they had just teleported turned out to be the majordomo Kugutsi in disguise, who commenced with attacking the ambush team! Back in Levinkan, Team Stabby managed to stab the real Paladin and teleport him along with his ice ball—but the Sorcyst Blade got stuck inside the ice ball and was teleported along with it.
Without the blade, there was only one very risky way for Team Stabby to teleport themselves to the ambush point in Amusa and join in the final battle—placing themselves in Ynnis' Handshaking Haversack while holding their breath for someone on the other side to pull them out. Ynnis sent another message to the heroes in Amusa to be ready to pull them out of the Haversack as they leapt into the bag one-by-one. Thankfully, all members of Team Stabby steadily made it out to the other side and were able to take part in the final showdown, defeating The Paladin once and for all and bringing an end to the Arctic Autumn!
