'''The Battle of Mystra's Child''' was a famous battle that took place in the Cave of the Well-Wished in the Oppidian Savana in Pteris. It was the final clash between the last true founder of the '''Whistlers''' and the '''Heretics''', and took place on between the Oneday and Tenday of the Sixth Tenday, Arduary 37 PR.

The Heretics, in their crusade, sought to take out any prominent figures of magic within Quelmar in a small, religious cult following on Pteris, seeking to score big bounties in order to make their name well known. The last surviving members of the doctrine marched to Whistlewood, in order to take down Phakvohx the Bright, the current leader of the Fairytale Goblin Tribe. Upon arrival, Phakvohx fought to defend their home from the anti-magical threat, fighting for ten days and ten nights, eventually being cornered in the Cave of the Well-Wished, where Pakvohx decided to make one final stand. By waving her wand high and summoning the prophetic powers she believed in from the Goddess, a bright light erupted from the cave, encasing everyone in pure, clear, crystal, ending Heresy, and the truest believers of the Whistlers, for good.

As one hundred years passed, the magic from the crystals began to pull on the souls of those who dwelled within, drawing out their ideals and forming two distinctly colored crystals, pulsing with desire. The blue crystals, created by the devout belief and whimsy of Phakvohx the Bright, carried an immense desire to perform more and more magic. As people discovered these crystals, they did not have an eye for the power of the Whistlers, not being ones themselves, and were left behind. These crystals were eventually discovered by [[Gobbo Greenskin]] for their whimsical power, being a descendant from Whistlers themself, and were pocketed and renamed as Magitek. When combined with mundane objects, they have the power to perform magic all on their own, as if Pakvohx the Bright was blessing them with shards of her own magical power.

The red crystals, filled with the burning hatred and rage of the Heretics killed by an Archpriest, are incredibly volatile and dangerous to use, but if enough of them are found and fused together into weaponry, they contain a unique power to disrupt the magic of the people they are hit with. Known as Magehunter Blades, only one has found enough crystals to be able to forge a weapon, and many of the red crystals, now known as Hatrak among the underweb of people who use them, are spread out across the world, held by scorned people at the hands of mages who seek to unite and fight back against what they believe to be the sickness at the core of the world, a magick-centric society (which may or may not actually exist.)

The Battle of Mystra's Child was a famous battle that took place in the Cave of the Well-Wished in the Oppidian Savana in Pteris. It was the final clash between the last true founder of the Whistlers and the Heretics, and took place on between the Oneday and Tenday of the Sixth Tenday, Arduary 37 PR.

These crystals were eventually discovered by Gobbo Greenskin for their whimsical power, being a descendant from Whistlers themself, and were pocketed and renamed as Magitek.
