Arlin's Home Village was a (yet unnamed) peaceful firbolg settlement deeply ensconced within the forests of Isonhound. Renowned for its inhabitants' deep connection with nature, the village was a hub for nature clerics, rangers, and druids. The community thrived in harmony with the surrounding wilderness, embodying the principles of coexistence and respect for all forms of life.

About[edit | edit source]

The village was designed to blend seamlessly with the natural environment, with homes and structures built from the land's materials without disturbing the forest's balance.

History[edit | edit source]

The village's history took a tragic turn on the eve of Arlin's 8th birthday in 702 PR. A devastating attack led by a dragon, along with its lizardfolk, kobold, and even dragonborn followers, resulted in the village being razed to the ground. This calamity forced young Arlin to flee into the wilderness, marking the end of the village as he knew it. The exact location of the village and the fate of its other inhabitants remain shrouded in mystery, as Arlin never learned of any other survivors.

The culture of the village was deeply rooted in a connection with nature and the principles of the natural world. The villagers lived by the seasons, celebrated the cycles of life and growth, and held profound respect for the forest that provided for them. Education for the young focused on understanding the flora and fauna, the elements, and the ways of the forest. Communal gatherings, storytelling, and shared meals were central to the village's social life, reinforcing bonds among its members.

Notable Figures[edit | edit source]

Arlin: The most notable figure to emerge from the village, Arlin was a silver dragonborn Order Cleric of Bahamut.

Arlin's Family: His grandfather, a wise and shape-shifting firbolg, and his grandmother, known for her baking and wisdom, were influential in his upbringing.

Legacy[edit | edit source]

The legacy of Arlin's home village lives on through his memories and the lessons he learned from his time there. Though the village itself was lost, its values of harmony with nature, community, and resilience in the face of adversity continue to influence Arlin's path.
