The Island of Caltopina is the main inhabitant location of Jineara Dragons, a dense jungle ran by a secretive race.

The lands of Caltopina have yet to be explored by humanoid races and remains a isolated from the larger society of Quelmar. The Jineara Dragons are the main inhabitants of the land remain the only intelligent life of the land. The species of plants on the Island are none like any other location on Quelmar. A majority of the plants get their energy from the island itself and therefore are black to protect themselves from the fiery breath of the Jineara Dragons. Island itself is powered from a mysterious energy source to be have placed before the foundation of Quelmar by the Caltopid God of the Jineara Dragons. The island is invisible on all maps of Quelmar due to the nature of the creation of the island, an anomaly that not many humanoid species know exist in the first place. All energy of the Island is sourced from the relic Kathy causing herbivores and carnivores to co-exist on the island leading to the dense jungle seen today.

Before the creation of the Island even the creation of Quelmar, the Caltopid God Katharlin is believed to place an energy source in space at where Quelmar would later be created. The energy source named Kathy after its creator produces infinite power of the appraisal of others relying upon worshiping to power the energy source. Therefore, for the many years before the creation of the Caltopina the energy source laid dormant until discovered.
After the creation of Quelmar, the Island of Caltopina was created by Katharlin as a source of appraisal to power the Kathy laid there years ago. The island was a way to protect the great power from causing harm to others. The island was place in a temporal gab on the plane of existence of Quelmar an anomaly based on the power source Kathy. Katharlin brought plants from the nearby island of Kiston. It was during this time that the plants would remain green. The animals that inhabited the lands at the time of the creation were unintelligent and small. The presences of the new species brought Kathy operational and allowed the Island to be like none other.
When Kathy activated, the entire Island shook in power, the power attracted other species from all over Quelmar. As all the species, flock towards Caltopina, Kathy became even more powerful which in return brought even more species. The endless cycle eventually attracted the attention of greater God's that would jealous of the power that the Island had and that the Island was creating. No intelligent life inhabited the Island at this time. It also at this time that the power level of Kathy correlated directed to the intelligence of species that is attracted to it.
The power of the Island had created jealously in the greater God's that saw the power that Katharlin was gaining as the species flocked towards the planet. The creation of the Kathy had fallen under the radar of the greater God's and fear to much power be given to Katharlin. Kathy was unique in nature and could supply immense power if had enough life near it. The Gods relied upon Nerull to stunt the growth of the island and to stop Kathy from becoming a too powerful energy source. He created dark clouds above the Island for years at end in attempt to stunt the life that remained on the Island to stop the source of energy of Kathy. Legend has it that the sky was as dark as coffee for almost a century to the point that light was a foreign concept for the lands below. During the early stages of the darkness spell, the population began to die off as the plants had no source of energy and resulted in the death of all the plants. As the wildlife slowly disappeared, Kathy began to diminish in power. The plan was working!!!!
The nearby island of Kiston is the original birth place of dragons. Before the holy war, when the dragons roam free and during their exploration one of the dragons named Bevert had been attracted to the island therefore seeing a path that was invisible to other of his species. He was believed to be special for his species having perception like no other dragon. When he arrived on Caltopina, he saw nothing due to the dark despair caused by Nerull darkness spell on the island. Due to the strong perception of the Bevert, he could navigate the island that had loss most of it's life at this point. He ventured into the Tsorian Caves to find the Kathy who attracted him to the Island. When he found Kathy, he touched the relic causing the restart of the greatest power source obtainable.
Bevert contact with Kathy caused the evolution of the entire island. Bevert evolved into the Jineara Dragons that are inhabitants of the Island now. Kathy recognized the genetic code of the living organism when Bevert touched it. The merger furthered the link between life and the relic Kathy. This form of evolution allowed the island to become a source of energy for all living things that reside on the Island. Evolutionary energy radiated out from the point Bevert and Kathy made contact changing the organism that reside on the island into something never seen before. The plants are no longer green and had become black and vibrant, radiating energy while also being nothingness. The animals that resided on Caltopina likewise evolved into vibrant creatures absent of camouflage.
Caltopina remain in darkness for the years to come after the evolution of the species that inhabited it. The natives had became even more lucrative as they relied upon the Kathy to supply energy to sustain life and not light that had been taken away from them by Nerull. Life on Caltopina had even come so abundant that Kathy had enough energy to override the darkness spell cased upon the lands centuries ago.
When the darkness spell was lifted, all the sunlight stopped by the spell in the past centenary had actually been trapped right above the island. The sunlight arrived Caltopina all at once, burning the mountains bright red and awakening Bevert's soul. The plant life remained immune to the sunlight's power, protected by Kathy's energy. For ten days, the rocks of Shamarian Mountains burned a raging fire. The water surrounding the island boiled killing all fish around the island. The beaches turned to glass. They become the dashed beaches seen today. Even the air separated, turning the abundant carbon dioxide into carbon and oxygen. The carbon fell from the sky turning into diamonds on the rocks of Shamarian Mountains.
