James D'Arcy (she/her) is a Occultist in Qandela Obscura campaign. She is a member of the Circle of Praesidium, stationed at the Red Light District.
Physical Appearance[edit | edit source]
James is an old lady, with huge glasses, black clothes and a messy white haired bun. She often smiles kindly. She wears a dark wedding ring and her left arm is blankened.
She has three (not all of them visible) scars.
Personality[edit | edit source]
James is a weird lady. While in her company she will mention at least once that she is doing her paperwork to retire. That day however, never seems to be arriving.
She would do everything for her little orphan kiddos, aka Weasel, Steve and Gio.
History[edit | edit source]
James joined Qandela Obscura young. She didn't care so much about her ability to sense bleeds, but that dashing young investigator talked her into it. Well, he soon was her husband. Together they had a daughter and three cats, leading a life of charity and danger. Throughout the years, they fostered people, Weasel, Steve and occasionally his friend Gio. It was through her work with those orphans that she met Dr. Thaddeus.
Everything changed that fateful night, when her dashing husband died. It was during one of their Qandela investigations. The experience was so traumatizing that she still cannot recall all the details of what happened. All she recalls in her nightmares is the intense taste of bleed in her mouth and the otherworldy laugh of it.
Since then, she got closed off, mostly trusting Weasel and Steve. She spend much time at the office, but she started working more often on the field once her kiddos joined up as Investigators. She would do anything for them, and indeed she was willing to sacrifice herself to save Steve.
Still to this day, she claims she will retire soon.
