The Lunar Lycan’s are a special breed of werewolf. While their descendants made their way to Earth, losing direct access to their reservoir of linage-magic, those that remained on the moon sustained their magic roots and are some of the most powerful casters in the local group of planetary civilizations. Unlike Earth werewolf’s who must wait till full moons, Lunar Lycan’s can always access their wolf form at any moment of the day. They also have complete control over their transformation and never suffer from side effects that are associated with uncontrollable changes. Lunar Lycan’s prefer to live in packs and rarely ever assume their humanoid form. They also are built slightly different due to the different gravitational effects on the moon rather than Earth. Lunar Lycan’s are on average 1.5 times larger than those found on Earth and are deadly when crossed. Their Lycan forms are evolved to survive the harsh conditions of the moon’s surface. Most of their pack dens can be found in moon craters with well grown societies underneath the crust of the moon. Very few events ever occur above ground, and those that do always require those to be in wolf form for breathing purposes. Their human forms can survive for exactly 5mins and 23 seconds before passing out from lack of breathable air.
