Editing Drake (Companion)

'''Drakes''' are a type of [[Dragon]] that is initially wingless and can serve as a companion to a [[Ranger|Drakewarden Ranger]]. They are smaller in size and not as powerful as a true [[Dragon]], making them far easier to train and use as mounts.

When serving as a companion, a Drake's draconic essence becomes intertwined with the [[Ranger]] they have bonded with. Drakes gain power through this bond that they share with their [[Ranger]]. As the [[Ranger|Ranger's]] powers grow, the Drake grows in size until they are large enough to ride. They also take on more draconic features as they grow, eventually sprouting wings and gaining a breath weapon.

Drakes can be found in the same variants as the three primary [[Dragon]] types: [[Dragon#Chromatic Dragons|Chromatic]], [[Dragon#Metallic Dragons|Metallic]], and [[Dragon#Gem Dragons|Gem]]. Their draconic ancestry determines their damage type and immunity.
