Quixing was the capital city of Troverth during the First Realm War. It was the home city of the Troverth Emperor and it was the largest and most extravagant city in the empire. A majority of city was destroyed in a massive ether explosion in 33 PR.

About[edit | edit source]

Quixing is a city of beauty, art, and strength. The streets glow with pride and the walls radiate honor, with Troverthian banners and flags hung from every window and post. Inside the people are wealthy and happy, dressed in expensive fineries, eating the best food, and living in a paradise city. The walls shine a gleaming white without a blemish to be seen, and green rooftops stretch across the horizon, leading to the golden palace of the emperor at the city's peak. Here the sky is magically kept clear and sunny, and beyond the walls people see rolling green hills, another magical illusion of course. Even during the height of Realm War I, from inside the city looking out, you could barley tell there was even a war.

As the capital city of Troverth, Quixing is a living symbol of the empire's wealth and pride. it is a shining example of what the empire wishes to do to every city in Osugbo, no matter how many people they need to subjugate to make it happen. The city is heavily defended, with battalions keeping watch over the city's towering walls and soldiers in red ceremonial armor patrolling the street. Dissent does not exist in Quixing, and if it were to exist, the Troverthian government will make sure it disappeared. Even demons walk the streets, bound by Troverthian magic and dressed in festival-like garb with comical masks and many layers of cloths to hide their demonic nature.

History[edit | edit source]

Quixing was founded in the mid to late BR right before the breaking out of the Holy War. At the wars end, Quixing was one of the last cities left standing in Osugbo, a fact many Troverthians share with pride. It was from Quixing that the Troverth Empire set its sights out across Osugbo to expand their borders and send out their armies, sparking Realm War I and igniting the Phantom Front between Troverth and Champerty. The region used to be the home of native Bugbear tribes before the tribes were pushed out and later subjugated by the Troverthians.

In the early years of the Realm War, the Troverthian Empire discovered a secret underground demonic temple dedicated to the Demon Lord Yeenoghu hidden beneath Quixing. After exterminating the cult, Troverth would use the research from the temple to pioneer the art of summoning demons and binding them to serve as weapons of war. But this only allowed the influence of Yeenoghu to seep deeper into the empire itself, encouraging the militates more savage an violent desires. These summonings would cumulate in Project Overlord where Troverth would summon and bind Yeenoghu himself.

In 26 PR, the arcanist Mae Tadako began construction of a weapon called Project Dominion beneath Quixing in the demonic temple, overseen by the Troverthian Prince Feng Yuhan, heir to the empire. The project would be completed 7 years later in 33 PR. But before the weapon could be activated, Quixing was infiltrated by a group of heroes sent from the Delvin who sought to destroy Project Dominion. During the chaos, Yeenoghu broke from his bonds and freed all of the demons in the city, leading to a bloody massacre of the city's residents. To destroy Project Dominion, the heroes created a massive ether explosion that destroyed the demonic temple, Project Dominion, and most of Quixing in a massive blast of arcane energy.

A few buildings survived, and even after the Troverth Empire itself fled to Amusa, some stayed behind in attempt to rebuild what had been.
