I'm posting here in the hope that someone who played helped defeat Asmodeus after the Second Infernal Emergence can give some clarification about what happened at the end of the 28-year war.
Specifically, what memories would a long-lived PC who was around during the war have of it?
The above-linked page (created by Spiderjjr45) specifies: 1) In 792PR fiends entered Quelmar and "almost every mortal in the realm was either killed or ... survived through planar magic", and 2) After ~28 years, The Last Around and Asmodeus agreed, among other things, that "All beings unlawfully slain since the beginning of Asmodeus' second incursion will be revived".
So was this like the MCU blip, with most of the world being dead for 28 years and suddenly returning (presumably without having aged) -- or was time reversed so that their deaths never happened -- or something else?
And why was all of this "swiftly forgotten by most and only recorded in the most skeptical of sources", as the timeline indicates?
Thanks for any clarity you can provide. --Cat (talk) 19:42, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
