Sand Centipedes could be found in a number of locations around Quelmar, but most notably on the island of Cof.

- The Sand Centipedes originally appeared in Towson Tabletop as an obstacle to any player who tried to spend more than a minute on the beaches.
- Sand Centipedes later chased the troubleshooters on Cof who were adventuring outside of their home base of Alpha Complex.
