NELL is run by the bombastic dragonborn Nerren Estar after whom the league is named. Estar was the league's first champion and reigned for a record 217 consecutive matches before finally stepping down to take on a more administrative role in the company. Estar has never lost an officially sanctioned match. There are rumors that he was bested by a mysterious masked figure known as "The Silver Demon" in a dark match, but both NELL and Estar vehemently deny such claims. Welcome, challengers, to the Nerren Estar Lucha League! (or N.E.L.L. for short)

The exciting world of professional wrestling makes its way to Quelmar through this wrestling promotion. These high-flying masked performers inspire and delight audiences throughout the realm through their amazing feats of strength and daring. Step into the ring and you might just earn yourself a title shot at the Quelmar Intercontinental Championship.

The title has been passed several times since, and is currently held by a Simian brawler going by the ring name "Redwood." Redwood's signature move is the Silverback Slam: a modified gorilla press in which he launches his competitor high in the air before sending them into the earth with a vicious piledriver. No opponent has successfully kicked out of the Silverback Slam.

The title is a large solid-gold championship belt made with a shimmering star carved into its center and encrusted with rubies, and comes with a hefty monetary prize and significant international renown.

One of the biggest events to take place in NELL was when 4 wrestlers entered the ring: Postal Panda, Janet, The Demon Diver, and The Professor! The advertised poster for the event is a high ticket item for true NELL fans.
