| Type | A town in the midst of a forest |
|---|---|
| Government | Fey Court and Mortal Alliance |
| Location | West Isonhound |
| Inhabiting Race | A coalition of fey, elves and humans |
A forest town sitting along the edge of the purple treed woods of Northwestern Isonhound, it boasts a happy alliance between the Court of Warm Winds and the humans that found refuge on Isonhound.
About[edit | edit source]
When the humans arrived to Isonhound on their ship, as the legend states, many of the fey and sylvan creatures of the continent looked at them with caution, fear or dismay. The fey court living in this Northwestern portion found them a delight to embrace and a people to both learn and teach with. In early BR, the Court of Warm Winds formally created an alliance with the leaders of the human settlers who found themselves needing shelter from the harsh winter that being so close to Breme brings.
Notable Events[edit | edit source]
OrbrazeDay Celebration[edit | edit source]
In the excitement of being able to leave the Court of Warm Winds forest without threat of Night Chill taking their breath away, the mortals and fey would gather and celebrate in the early days of Orbraze (CR: May). They would hold a tea party and a scavenger hunt, trading secrets and trinkets with one another before many would journey out to explore the surroundings in the new warmth of Springtime!
This was the event celebrated during the 2026 Quelmar Feywild Picnic and LARP
Notable Residents/Visitors[edit | edit source]
Archfey Morrow (played by Mercedes)[edit | edit source]
The Queen of the Court of Warm Winds is a kind and gentle-spoken fey with the gift of heat emanating off of her, especially in uncertain or cold circumstances. She is a friend of all kinds of critter and finds mortals delightful. There are rumors that if you are a stranger to the forest, she may appear to you as a large white wolf, protective of her friends.
Baba's Hut (played by Amanda)[edit | edit source]
No one quite knows how it came to be running around Sirocco, but the flash of a small house with chicken legs is enough to given anyway pause, especially anyone who knows the presumed owner of such a strange creature.
Dame Larkspur of the Furious Spines (played by Jay)[edit | edit source]
A visitor from the Court of Blossoms, this Jackalope Haregon is a knight of Queen Cherise, Protector of the Feywilds and the Resting Place and Slayer of Tamzu: Mother of Roses
Drykkr (played by Nikki)[edit | edit source]
A Bremish Wolfwitch Alchemist has settled in Sirocco Forest, selling her wares.
Fenwyn Nyx (played by Chris)[edit | edit source]
A Vulpine Trickster has settled in Sirocco Forest
Hazel Stumbleworth (played by Amia)[edit | edit source]
A clumsy and bubbly witch/bard hybrid studying water formation and dance at Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane (Prismari), though she is only sufficiently average at both magic and music.
Eris (played by Manu)[edit | edit source]
A rather reserved but cheerful druid touched by the elemental plane of fire studying the essence of living things at Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane (Witherbloom). They can often be seen holding a flower as an exercise in restraint, trying to ensure it doesn't burn.
Author's Note: Sirocco Forest is a love letter to the many forests of artist and director Hayao Miyazaki in his works for Studio Ghibli, such as Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Naussica and the Valley of the Wind, and more.
