Malsheem, also called The Eye of the Hurricane, is a Nessus fortress that is one part labyrinth, one part flaming storm, and one part impenetrable tower.
About
Malsheem surrounds the citadel on which the archdevil of Nessus resides. When Nessus and Malsheem were created, the archdevil was Asmodeus, but after his retreat to Hellmar, his daughter Glasya took the throne inside the Hurricane.
Personal Hell Cells
Inside the labyrinth were endless rows of small chambers, each containing a sole soul. The chamber was designed to create a personal "hell" for the resident inside. The magic inside the chamber could give the illusion of any circumstance.
Example Hell Cells
- A cell of vast empty landscapes for the sociable soul who seeks escape from themselves.
- A cell replaying the dieing moments of a loved one, who is just out of reach as they beg for aid.
- A cell that reveals a false narrative that makes the soul question its decisions, such as the revelation that a sworn enemy was actually a lost family member.
- A cell for the brilliant minds full of useful components and contraptions, but none of which are compatible with each other.
- A cell for the soul that seeks adventure, containing exactly one mundane desk job with repeated never ending small tasks.
