A Neithosphinx is a creature native to The Underdark, born out of the continued dark experiments of Lolth and the Drow communities.
About
Neithosphinx resembled a combination of a Sphinx and a giant spider. The typical human-cat face of the sphinx was replaced not just with a spider's maw, but with the entire head and body of a spider, giving the Neithosphinx the disturbing ability to grab and devour prey with all 8 legs attached to its face.
Corpsus Academy
The Neithosphinx was the mascot of the Corpsus Academy, complete with a massive marble statue in the entrance hall of the school. The Neithosphinx statue may have been innocent, but a live Neithosphinx was revealed to have been living underneath of the school, where nosy students and visitors who learned too much would be devoured.
