Physical Appearance

Thomas is a scruffy looking man, with rough eyes and a bit of a stubble, but his piercing blue eyes can let you know everything you need to about what he’s seen in his recent years, serving on the front lines of the Great No Man's War.

Personality

Thomas first appears to be nothing more than a gruff bully who likes to drink, smoke, and fight. He can sometimes lose his cool and make some decisions out of anger, but he means well. After getting to know him, he’s really nothing more than a lost boy trying to find his way in the world, as stubborn as he may be to accepting help. He cares a lot, and at the end of the day, wants everyone to come home.

History

Thomas grew up with his older brother Connor and parents Finley and Abigail. He was constantly getting in trouble, picking fights with older boys that he had no hope of winning, but did so for his friends. Connor always bailed him out. Well when word of a war came, Connor enlisted, and Thomas lied about his age to join, joining at the age of 16. He wanted to keep his brother out of trouble, the same way he had when they were kids. Both boys were placed in C Company of the 16th Highlander Regiment. Eager to serve. But it wouldn’t last.

Connor was killed a few weeks into the war, during the opening phases of the Battle of The Sonne. Thomas would then fight the rest of the long 5 year conflict by himself, making friends and losing others. But survive he did.

What turned something in Thomas was when an enemy advance was made using flame projectors. Nasty weapons though they were, the enemy had modified one of them with magik. When it opened on D Company’s position, it covered their entire trench line with greenish colored flame. Flame that would not go out, no matter how it was smothered. Nearly all 160 men perished to a single weapon, which scuttled back across no-man’s-land before it could be destroyed or captured.

Now he joins Candela Obscura, vying to keep weapons like thy flame projector from being created again, and falling into the wrong hands.

He’s an adept soldier, working various weapons through out his service. Asides from crewed heavy weapons, which he only ever ran ammunition for, he’s earned his marksman status. But his favorite are close quarters weapons. Clubs, hatchets, knives, knuckle dusters. He excels in hitting things, and hitting them hard.
