Curriculum of Chaos is an open-table D&D 5E 2014 Campaign that began on 11/23/2025.
The campaign involves balancing academic life with the looming threat of necromancy taking over.
Unless otherwise mentioned, this campaign is the official Strixhaven: Curriculum of Chaos module, written by the Wizards RPG Team and published in December of 2021. Apart from name changes and small changed within the bounds of the book, it is not an original creation, and Quelmar does not take credit for its writing.

About
30 years after the events of The Court of Bloom and Blade, Clematis Starmello's old Alma Mater, the Deroleux's Select Conservatory of the Arcane, is ready to begin a new school year anew. Students from far and wide are ready to travel across the planes and into Deroleux Academy's private demiplane in order to further their study of magic as a core. But little do they know, as they enjoy their student life, a truly wicked threat is on the rise...will a group of bright-eyed first-years be able to grow and evolve in time to cope with the unknown threat?
Deroulex's Select Conservatory of the Arcane features five distinct colleges, coming together to create the overarching university campus.
LOREHOLD - THE COLLEGE OF HISTORY
Students of Lorehold specialize in studying the histories of magic and the marks that it has left behind on the world, hoping to find ancient relics or learn from the past in order to prevent it's reoccurence.
PRISMARI - THE COLLEGE OF CREATION
Students of Prismari are the closest thing you'll get to a casting school - they focus on learning how to wield and refine raw elements in order to create true works of art. They tend to shy away from a combative lifestyle, but have the power to immolate people as needed.
SILVERQUILL - THE COLLEGE OF PERFORMANCE
Students of Silverquill are masters of everything oratory; acting, debate, verbal and song performance, and a general mastery of popularity. They always know just what to say, how to say it, and the perfect opportunity to speak in order to subtly influence others.
QUANDRIX - THE COLLEGE OF THEORY
Students of Quandrix take the deepest dive into magical theory that Deroulex has to offer, poking apart the very foundations of magic and math and bending it to their very will to progress the intersection between magic and science.
WITHERBLOOM - THE COLLEGE OF LIFE
Students of Witherbloom examine the effects that magic has on the nature around it, pushing beyond the limits of normal wizards in order to cause the flourishing of plant life, or take it away with a decaying hand, far beyond the reach of a normal wizard.

House Rules
- The Daylight spell works as it does in 2024, but follows the 2014 spell (As in, it actually creates Sunlight.)
- Backgrounds that provide feats are banned except for Lorehold Initiate, Prismari Initiate, Quandrix Initiate, Silverquill Initiate, and Witherbloom Initiate
- If you Crit on an Unarmed Strike, the Strength Modifier is doubled for damage.
- In the case of a tie on a contested check, nothing changes.
- If you have a level of exhaustion, all rolls you make have a debuff equal to your Exhaustion Level times 2. If you reach 6 levels of exhaustion, you still die. You can refresh exhaustion during a downtime, but you must attend a session before you can (to prevent people skipping sessions to cheese exhaustion-based benefits.)
