Rio's physical appearance is anything but constant. Every aspect of it, including height, weight, biological sex, eye color, hair color, and voice change daily due to their unstable magic. There are 2 constants identify Rio, however: Their cyan fox mask, and the rope they tie to their arm that keeps their spellcasting focus, a crystal, firmly planted in their palm. |

Rio de Compasso used to be a normal human with a constant body. Their home life was often filled with them getting into significant trouble and being punished for it, given their standing as part of a noble house. When they were 18, they were slated to marry a different member of the same house, an Aasimar by the name of Lucy. Rio fell madly in love with Lucy, as did everyone Lucy encountered. However, Rio being their betrothed and most loyal, Lucy turned Rio into a magic mirror to sit on the wall and compliment them. One day, Lucy was unhappy with their appearance and shattered the magic mirror. Rio's body 'reformed' and fired off a spell unintentionally that killed Lucy instantly. Following this, their family disowned them and their body began changing on the daily. They made wooden children's toys to earn a living for about 2 years, before trying to give mastering magic a go. |
