Tensong was a city in southern Osugbo, founded under the Troverth Dynasty. It was built against the Great Bastion – an immense Pre-History wall that marked the easternmost borders of Troverthan lands – and was ruled over by the minor Pangolin Clan. Historically they were seen as defenders of the realm against the horrors of the Shadowlands to the east, particularly during the first Realm War. During peacetime it was an important gate for merchants and adventurers travelling between east and west Osugbo. Following the departure of the Troverthians, Tensong continued to exist as a city state ran by a council, dedicated to continue their maintenance and vigil upon the wall.

The surrounding region was well known for its arable croplands and developments in agricultural sciences.

Culture[edit | edit source]

The people of Tensong generally maintained very traditionalist values, with a strict honour system long outlasting Troverthian rule of the city. Their position as Custodians of the Bastion has been upheld with the utmost solemnity for generations, with most young adults being conscripted to serve as Watchers of the Wall for a time ranging from 6 months to five years, depending on the era.

Tensinger warriors were renowned as masters of defensive martial arts, often employing long polearms and their iconic pangolin scale armour.

Notable History[edit | edit source]

Troverth's Great War[edit | edit source]

In 20 CR – during the Troverthi Empire's invasion of their ancient homelands – the city would align itself with the invading Imperial forces, though an outspoken minority would flee the city either as refugees, or even volunteer to fight against the invaders.

The Purple Talons would be one such force that formed within the Lufen Auxiliary Forces from detectors, though they were regularly viewed with suspicion throughout their service. Following the fall of Lufen they would be folded into the greater Emerald League's air section.
