The equivalent of an Archdevil, Demon Lords are rulers of their own levels of The Abyss. As the Abyss is an infinite vortex of chaos, there is no known way to confirm just how many Demon Lords exist. Many believe that while the uppermost layers are guarded over by these mortal lords, the bottom layers of the infinite chaos are guarded over by true gods, known as the Great Old Ones.
