Over time, races come and go from Quelmar and as the CR era opens up easy access to extra-planar travel, many additional races come to the forefront of the public eye during this time. In particular, many alien and robotic races (and subsequently new cross-breeds) appear in the realm.

Robotic Races

During the CR era, artificers have run wild with their robotic creations. Some of these were designed with consciousness and others simply gain it on their own. Therefore the realm during this time is abundant with a variety of individual unique robotic creations, which are collectively referred to as the “robotic” race such as Prototype_J_91360.

Alien Races

There are a variety of alien races which also join the realm once the inhabitants gain easy access to extra-planar space travel. Some of these races are wholly incompatible domineering creatures only looking to take over such as the Chest Bursters which are known to use humanoid hosts as incubators for their young, killing them during the birthing process. Others are suspected to have peacefully infiltrated Quelmar communities with plans of eventual global domination, or to use Quelmar as a hiding place. It has been rumored that races with innate shape-shifting abilities such as the Migo, or Shifters would be capable of this. However, the existence of such large-scale subterfuge by a single race has never been proven or acknowledged by any Quelmar governmental body. Others still have integrated well into various Quelmar societies across the plane and have formed working relationships with the current inhabitants such as Tortles and Modrons.

Altered Humanoids

Some humanoid races have taken to altering their current physique with robotic or other components. This is common especially among shadowrunners, netrunners, and the like in order to make interfacing with the hyper-industrialized world we live in easier.
