Florian is a god of Wonder and Curiosity.
History[edit | edit source]
The long standing history of Florian is largely unknown, even to their own worshippers. It is said in tall tales that Florian was once a Cleric without a God, but a central ideal of childlike wonder and joy. At some point or another in history, they amassed enough power on their own to be ascended to godhood for that same central ideal.
Worshippers[edit | edit source]
Worshippers of Florian refer to themselves as Comets, off of the same central shooting star motif that Florian represents. They do not question the history of Florian's ascent to godhood. In fact, a central part of their worship is coming up with new tales of how they ascended. It is a key part of the wondering and curiosity aspect of the worship.
Wishing Stars Ceremony[edit | edit source]
Once a year, on the fourth day of Torustell, Comets gather into small communities and launch fireworks into the sky to imitate shooting stars. They wish upon these fireworks, wondering if there's any merit to lighting these explosives in the first place and hoping that their wishes come true.
