The time finally came when I was ready to re-enter the field. It was an odd assignment, but one which would prove to be incredibly helpful to the company. Apparently, there were some pixies and fairies in possession of a sort of flower that the Warden would use to produce a cure to the infestation of Zuggtmoy within the surrounding areas. This, in conjunction with Lambda's ongoing corruption found within his body, meant that perhaps we can begin to fight back against these forces with more efficiency. I was all for this mission, however it came with some small problems. To begin, the style of mission was more suited to a bank heist than an actual mission. While I am always for a challenge, it felt quite odd to be on the other side of the law. I suppose it will become something that I will have to answer for when my time comes, but the end result will surely be an end which can be acceptable for my actions. Well, we set out and of course there were complications. The security of the stronghold was quite impressive, and apparently in order to complete our mission, we were to infiltrate the place and steal this flower. We became the size of the pixies we were robbing, and set out. Everything was going well, three teams were created with a different objective to create a streamlined heist. At some point, Pash enamored the Princess, Wiggler and another party member nearly blew our cover with some idiotic shenanigans, and I cannot discern why we let the two of them together, and myself and my party member successfully broke through the security to actually retrieve the flower. While the heist was successful, there were some unintended outcomes. Pash agreed to marry the Princess in a year. I am happy for them in all honesty. It is wonderful to see such positivity here in the wilds. I also cannot wait to see what the Warden does with the flower. Hopefully it leads to a renewed effort to combat these demons and their influence.

This was the last mission we would run out of these base camp of ours. Our enemies had gathered in masse, without us knowing, and were planning to force us from the region. All hell was about to break loose in the camp.

The attack was swift, with gnoll war machines supporting an assault from both demon and gnoll infantry. They swarmed around the camp, intent on cutting off all retreat, constricting the Tempest Brothers Company to the confines of their camp. Without the warning of their attack, there was little that I was able to do. Our forces were marshalled to defend our supplies and other projects that were recently completed. We also attempted to gather what we could from the precious artifacts that gave power others sought to utilize. Unable to really comprehend what was happening, I remembered the times on the Phantom Front. I remember what happened to my soldiers, and vowed to not let it be repeated. I had my ghost regiment begin gathering the supplies that were being defended so valiantly, and carry them aboard the airships we were using. They were our salvation. Should they fall into enemy hands, we were cut off and doomed. As supplies were loaded, I continued to haul them aboard, defending them if need be. We slowly pulled all of our forces back to the airships, getting them aboard. Our enemies were falling just as fast as they were appearing, and it was clear this battle was impossible to win. When the last of the camp's defenders were aboard with their cargo, the ships took to the sky, destination: Gailik. The ride was a quiet one, no one really knew what to say. On one hand, we were alive. On the other, we were just dished one of our first major defeats. We had lost people, yes, but never had we lost ground, territory, our home. A bitter taste filled my mouth. Why was I so useless in this situation? Why had I froze remembering something that happened centuries ago? While I do not have the answers at the moment, what I can say for certainty is this. We'll have to settle for licking our wounds and building our strength before we get our revenge, but we will have it. In the mean time, I believe that we may all be more than happy to spend our time back in civilization, and away from the carnage. At least that's what I hope.
