Thomas grew up with his older brother Connor and parents Finley and Abigail. He was constantly getting in trouble, picking fights with older boys that he had no hope of winning, but did so for his friends. Connor always bailed him out. Well when word of a war came, Connor enlisted, and Thomas lied about his age to join, joining at the age of 16. He wanted to keep his brother out of trouble, the same way he had when they were kids. Both boys were placed in C Company of the 16th Highlander Regiment. Eager to serve. But it wouldn’t last. | |||

Nearly all 160 men perished to a single weapon, which scuttled back across No-Man’s-Land before it could be destroyed or captured. | |||
