- DM James did one and only one author self-insertion into his games during a session of SotS Inc, where he established that his canonical self-insertion is a lowly apprentice at a bakery in Granite. He appeared very briefly, was of no importance, and will likely never show up again.
- Update, in a a purposefully meta gag, James the Beholder has appeared in the final session of ⮞Get Submodule
- DM James is not responsible for Little Baby Boy James, but LBBJ is modeled after him.
