A Fylgja (plural Fylgur) is a type of animal ghost or spirit, typically left behind from a creature native to Ysgard or The Feywild. They play a particularly large role in Loxo mythology.

Fylgjur often interrogate and investigate living creatures in Quelmar in an attempt to manipulate them using what they most desire, or their "Hugr".
Fylgjur come in two different types: Tame and Untame. Untame Fylgjur are the more notable type, as they cause the most havoc in the realm, going out of their way to manipulate and terrorize people via their Hugr, while tame fylgjur typically take a passive role.
Some examples of forms that tame fylgjur take include: Ox, Goat, and Board.
Untame fylfjur can include Bear, Deer ,Leopards, Lions, and Serpants.
Effects[edit | edit source]
A Fylgja can have a lasting effect on a loxo especially, who believe that prolonged exposure can turn them into a completely different creature, either a Thaskor or a Loxada.

Aesop[edit | edit source]
Aesop was a Kitsune who was murdered by Harold and his pirate ship crew, after which they used his soft skin to make a fox-skin hat. However, due to the kitsune's magical nature, Aesop was able to live on as a spectral spirit haunting the hat, implanting itself in the mind of Harold much like a Mindsnare Naga would.
