The Quelmar Wiki

Gurblins were a race of Goblinoid creatures that made a funny habit of showing up in the least likely of places. They were mischievous and chaotic, and only a mild nuisance on their own. A large number however could cause serious damage to properties and the landscape with their constant burrowing, such as in the town of Bearovia. Many theories persisted, but it remained unknown precisely how infestations were able to appear across all the planes of the Great Wheel. Many considered the creatures a form of vermin.

They were not intelligent creatures; whilst it appeared they could understand rudimentary sentences, they were only really seen making seemingly nonsensical noises to each other. It was also common for them to be found getting themselves into comically dumb situations.

Appearance[edit | edit source]

Gurblins were the smallest of all Goblinoid races, rarely growing taller than half a metre. Their colouration varied, however they generally followed the same range as their goblin counterparts: mostly shades of green or brown. They had rows of sharp teeth and small claws which they'd use to attack shins or attach themselves to people's shoulders.

Variants[edit | edit source]

Pocket Gurblins[edit | edit source]

These tiny creatures were exactly like regular gublins in every way, except ⅛ the size.

Cubelins[edit | edit source]

Not even the mysterious and unknown Cube Dimension was safe from infestation. Gurblins that found their way there and remained too long saw themselves changed into cubelins, small green cubes with big ears and two little arms. They'd either hop around, or frantically slide across the ground using their arms. Their penchant for attacking shins remained. Upon their death they'd shatter into dangerous jagged shards.
