Hydra Hydrangeas were a rare and exclusive type of carnivorous flower native to another plane. Much like their Hydra namesake, the Hydra Hydrangea would grow two additional heads (complete with blooming buds and bleeding fangs) for ever head that was cut off.
Experiments in Pteris[edit | edit source]
After one Hydra Hydrangea was captured by adventurers looting a lair belonging to The Lich Omoi, the plant, named Cirberus, was taken to the R&D firm known as AgraWealth, which hoped to experiment with the crop in the hopes of using it to solve the agricultural crises that often hit Pteris. Their hope was that its hydra-like properties would let them essentially harvest unlimited food, if the conditions were right.
After a swift and brutal take down by the Lich (working with The Beggar's Bodega), it was agreed to give a small nonfunctional head to the firm, who could continue to study it's unique properties without damaging a living creature.
