Meretseger is a Shedethan goddess of Funerals. At the height of Ta-Shedet, she was a relatively minor goddess due to her worship being primarily focused in a few, closely located necropoles near the ancient Shedethan city of Qis. However, as of the PR era she has become the most commonly, if not only, worshipped god of Ta-Shedet.
Description[edit | edit source]
Meretseger is most often depicted as slender woman of ambiguous race with a snake in place of her head.

Worshippers[edit | edit source]
Originally a local goddess worshipped in the city of Qis as a protector of the dead. After the fall of Ta-Shedet sometime during prehistory, a group of locals moved into the necropoles to take shelter from the resulting apocalypses. These locals would then develop into the "Veiled Elves", who believe that the other gods of Ta-Shedet died or mutated in the fall of the empire and that Meretseger, in her function of protector of the dead, is tending to them awaiting their revival and the recreation of Ta-Shedet.
Notable Holy Sites[edit | edit source]
The Necropoles of Qis are the primary worship site of Meretseger.
