Nakashiri is a small village in the East Hills of Osugbo.

About[edit | edit source]

Nakashiri has a natural barrier against nearby tribes of kobolds in the form of a riverbend. The river is home to large predatory crayfish that only attack when disturbed. The locals know how to lower bridges and safely get in and out of the village, but attackers often fall prey to the crustaceans.

Beyond the river, Nakashiri's valley location means that it often falls victim to heavy mists.

Like other Osugbo villages at the dawn of the new era, Nakashiri struck a deal with the Stuckey's chain, renaming their tavern in return for funding of the town's militia.

History[edit | edit source]

Nakshiri from overhead, still aflame from Coalkell's attack

In 10 PR, the village was taken over by a vampire ogre named Coalkell and his squall of kobold minions. During the attack, all of the men in the village were rounded up and killed, while the elderly, children, and women were rounded up and kept in the largest barn in the middle of the village while Coalkell and his minions raided every house and community building. After each building was emptied, it was set ablaze, leading to a heavy smoke in the air that could be scene from nearby hills.

Coalkell and his team were fought off by The OathWielders, their first mission together as a formal team. Notably, Coalkell was tricked by the illusory magics of Orris, and then assassinated by the centaur Roha.

Notable Citizens[edit | edit source]

  • Svaka and her daughter, two of the few who escaped the town during Coalkell's raid. When discovered nearby huddled in a cave, Drake gave the two all of his money and possessions, to help them start a new life as they fled. The story of Drake's selflessness spread quickly, and he would earn the title of The Giving.
