He sports many druidic tattoos from his initiation as a druid in his community. Tordek also known to wear many rings made from gold that was mined from the mines of his home. Since Tordek has a love for good ale, he always keeps a mug of it on his hip for drinking on the go.

Personality[edit | edit source]

Being a Hermit, Tordek is not a very sociable. He often loses himself in his own thoughts for extended periods of time. He sometimes might seem disconnected from what is going on around him. However, even when he is deep in thought, he is still keenly aware of everything around him. He is always studying, analyzing, and sizing up everything and everyone around him.

Tordek is neither good or evil. He usually lets things happen and tries not to interfere much with the natural course of things. While others might feel uncomfortable in chaotic environments, Tordek feels right at home.

History[edit | edit source]

Tordek grew up in a remote Dwarven mining community named Hodlingar in the hills on the eastern edges of the Steelhand Clan. There he grew up and eventually became Hodlingar's Head Shaman. As the Shaman, he had a responsibility to read the rock of the mines before the miners went in every day. He would be able to determine things such as whether they'd strike a big ore vein that day, whether they would have a day of not finding anything, or even if there would be a disaster that day such as an explosion in the mines. One fateful day, Tordek did his daily ritual and determined that the day would be full of bountiful ore mining. However, around mid-afternoon on that day, the mine collapsed. As a result of the collapse, over a quarter of the community's working-age men perished in the mines. For failing at his duties as Hodlingar's Head Shaman by making an incorrect reading with deadly consequences, Tordek was stripped of his position and banished from the town. Ever since then, Tordek has been wandering Quelmar with little to no direction. Every day Tordek tries to find a way to use his powers to save people to make up for his grave error. He hopes that one day he'll be able to drive away his feelings of shame and redeem himself in the eyes of himself and his community.

Tordek took part in saving the people of Breme when an imposter posing as Atnas started putting traps in people's homes. When Tordek and his teammates found Atnas unconscious in the back shed of a remote house, Tordek was able to heal Atnas back to health. With the help of Kr*mpus, Tordek and the group were able to take out the Imposter Atnas in Antas' Workshop and prevent the traps from being sent out to any more homes.

After saving the people of Breme from the imposter Atnas, he wandered down to Synàra in Isonhound for the Asar Ogalas festival. At the festival, he bought his pet rock named Rocky. Shortly afterward, 3 dragons attacked the town. Tordek, 5 other heroes, and the town militia ran towards the silver dragon attacking the mayor's hall. Tordek and the others were able to successfully evacuate the mayor and many civilians away from the wrath of the silver dragon.

Galloway[edit | edit source]

Tordek found a posting calling for heroes to help find porcelain that was stolen from the town of Galloway. While searching for the porcelain, Tordek and the other adventurers happened upon a sickly topaz gemstone dragon. The group agreed to help this dragon back to its lair. Once reaching the lair, the group used a magical propeller to fly the dragon to the lair entrance. However, upon entering, the group and the dragon found goblins stealing from the dragon's hoard. Every party member helped except for one that shapeshifted into a fox and went invisible, hiding from the rest of the party. The goblins were slain, but the group found that the sickly gemstone dragon was the one who stole all of Galloway's porcelain. The group quickly fled the lair after angering the dragon by getting caught trying to steal its porcelain. Tordek turned into a giant eagle to flee the cave and eventually spotted the invisible shape-shifting fox running off with a Bag of Holding full of porcelain. Tordek in eagle form battled the magical fox in the air along with the rest of the party. Eventually, the shapeshifting fox was killed outside of the gemstone dragon lair, stole its bag of holding, and commandeered his boat (now called the SS No Sink) to sail back to Galloway.

The River Titicaca[edit | edit source]

After returning the town of Galloway's porcelain, Tordek met up with other adventurers to protect a mining vessel captained by Mite and Tite down the River Titicaca. Tordek, Rocky, and Tordek's Giant Constrictor Snake (from the Staff of the Python), fought monsters of the forest who blocked up the river. After defeating the monsters, the crew continued down the river until the boat was attacked by a Dragon. Tordek threw his Staff of the Python into the water and his Giant Constrictor Snake was able to save Boros, who had fallen into the water, before the boat sped away from the dragon. Upon arriving to the mine at the Nightfall Station, the group noticed that some great force had destroyed the riverside station. The same dragon that attacked ealier flew down and confronted the party. The dragon explained how the people who ran this mine committed genocide and enslaved the locals for labor. The party offered up Tite and Mite, who were part of the people who ran the mine, and the dragon happily ate them. Tordek, calling upon his powers as the former Head Shaman of Hodlingar, felt trouble beneath him in the mines. Tordek was able to shift himself, Violet, Boros, and Dad-Bot through the stone at their feet and into the mine below. Upon entering the mine, the group found a collapse had occurred and 2 miners were stuck underneath the rubble. Tordek and the group were able to rescue the trapped miners and evacuate them safely from the mine. While in the mines, the group was also able to obtain chunks of Wovenstone to power the boat and get the party back up the River Titicaca. Tordek turned the Wovenstone he took from the mines into a giant chunk of gold and in the process learned that his dear companion Rocky was also made of Wovenstone.

Departure[edit | edit source]

After stumbling upon the Relic Tower in the Barrier Peaks, Tordek experimented with the strange teleportation technology there, accidentally teleporting himself and Rocky deep deep into outer space, where the two of them became the Tordek Constellation, woven into future dwarven mythology.
