Like their oceanic counterparts, the Sand Krakens were also frequently accompanied by Sand Scions, monstrous shapeshifters whose siren-like goal was to traverse the deserts and trick other creatures into making their way into the monstrous maw of the kraken. 
Notably, a Deep Sand Scion almost managed to hijack the entire [[DarkSon Princess]], a massive cruise ship used to traverse between [[Al'Adeaf]] and [[Nymphsview]].
