Da'kan and the adventurers first attempted to help some civilians get away from these creatures. They were strong, and the fight was tough, but eventually the creatures were defeated. The group then moved towards a factory in search of a stone for an [[airship]] carrying other survivors. The group found the stone, and a deal was struck with the factory owner. The refined stone was then sent with a small group of the adventurers to save the ship. Da'kan and a few others stayed behind to try and bring survivors into the confines of the factory, hoping to build a small form of the astrolabe (astrallathe? astralwave?) to at least give safe haven there. After returning with a few survivors, Da'kan searched for whatever the dragon spat up and found a heavily burned lizardfolk, with a badge of white and blue with a metal bird. He drug the body to the factory, learning that the ffort was fruitless and the city was going to be lost. Gathering whoever was around, the group evacuated the city, and made way for Seglock. Darkness had enveloped most of the world, leaving Seglock and Gammelgard as the only known safe havens. Da'kan understood that now was do or die. Fight to keep light in the world, or roll over and become one of the monsters.
