On a recent expedition to investigate a leyline, Wiggler found Talyth, who was acting as an advisor for the Hydrail, a large hydra-like snail creature that fed off the natural magics of the leyline. Talyth told Wiggler that he left to investigate the leyline exposures, and gave them a charcoal drawing of a man by the name of William Wigland...
Over several months, Wiggler has been through many different events, such as slaying a young white dragon, discovering the Philosopher's Stone, defending the Tempest Brothers headquarters from bounty hunters, delving down into the Hells, slaying Jim Stacy, and stopping the fey dragon Faereina from summoning an incursion of Wild Fey. They have also met and learned more about Wren, causing old memories of the past to rise back up to the surface, as well as some strange potential connection to one of The Seven, The Lord of the Beneath. It seems like a good idea to take some time off and search for answers, as new threats seem to have emerged in the wake of the old ones...

=== New Journal (Catch Up) ===
<div class="mw-collapsible mw-collapsed">
''Wow. It’s been so long since I last opened this journal. So much has happened since. Friends and enemies have come and gone, and this is entirely out of date. Guess I forgot about this in the chaos of everything. Now… where to start?''
''Well, I guess I can start out with the major events that happened. For starters, the base camp we established in the Wilds? That got completely destroyed. I was able to go back to check it out, but I wasn't entirely clearheaded during the attack. Everything was a blur. All I know is that the gnolls launched a massive raid, and we had to evacuate in a hurry. I do know that Sir Eedryll became the new Green Knight to protect us, but I'll get to that later...''
''Oh yeah, Galik also got besieged by some giant worm. The concerning part? That worm is apparently linked to one of The Seven... and it looks similar to me. Even worse, the cultist responsible for summoning it? It was Wren. The one who's got a history with me. I met face to face with her in another mission, but I can get to that later as well...''
''It's going to take forever for me to go through everything if I keep jumping between points.  I might as well start with the summaries for the missions I've gone on so I can get somewhere.''
''The very first mission I went on was to some sort of scouting expedition to establish a footing for the company in the Wilds. Out of the initial group consisting of Tassa, Kamakuras, Cinder, Jo, and myself, I'm the only one remaining... We were exploring a swamp when we encountered a strange tall figure along the way. As we approached, we were attacked by some large tentacles that emerged from beneath the surface. We fought and slew the strange oozelike creature, when we saw another strange figure light a path to their home. This entity introduced themselves as the Warden of the Wilds, who guarded the very land that we walked on. We had a brief rest as we explained what the company's mission was, and the Warden promised that if we respect the Wilds, there would be no harm brought upon us. They also explained that the ooze we fought was an Oblex, which could feed off memories and were only recently beginning to appear in the area. For our help in killing the Oblex, the Warden sent each of us a gift: a broach of wood and stone that amplified my magical abilities, and allowed us to send an Animal Messenger to them once a month to stay in contact.''
''After base camp was settled, I went with Sabbatical, Frankie, Dragonett, Amaris, and Jo to investigate some dinosaur carcasses that were discovered nearby. On the way there, a roc attacked the airskiff and caused us to crashland into some old temple with several dragon murals. After we unlocked the gate by solving an elemental puzzle, we discovered a medusa that made their lair in the ruins, which nearly petrified some of us as we fought. Luckily, I was able to blind it, stopping its petrifying gaze, and Frankie was able to stab it to death with a Dagger of Venom he found earlier in the ruins. As we continued exploring, we found a sarcophagus that held some strange dragonborn vampire... which we may have accidentally released when we broke some magic enchantments on it. We were able to depart peacefully, but as we reached the surface, we were ambushed by the former Green Knight, who knocked down the roc that attacked us earlier and attached some sort of collar that made it obey him. He tried to kill us all, but we were able to fend him off long enough for another airskiff to arrive to pick us up and fled safely.''
''Then there was the Thistlebrook Conclave festivities, or at least some sort of trial. About a dozen of the company participated, and I went with a group that solved puzzles and riddles, while the other group went and fought.. something. I never got the full details, but apparently we would assist our allies in the combat trials if we successfully solved the puzzles we were given, but hurt them if we failed... All I know about the other group is that it was painful. At the end, the Conclave gave us all assorted magic items. I decided to pick up a Moon Sickle, which has been extremely helpful in keeping others alive and healthy during missions.''
''Oh, this mission. It was supposed to be a simple escort job, transporting some ancient stone tablets on the Bronze Hawk Railway to one of Cookie’s associates. I joined Sabbatical, Reedy, Frankie, Chrysaor, Radion and Cealion to help out the company. Then Jack of Hearts and his crew appeared, consisting of the undead pyromancer Malakar, Lambda’s “brother” Theta, Nassir’s brother Arven, a kobold named Tini, and some Eladrin named Yellana Eedryll. I’ll get to their significance later, since they were a constant thorn in the company’s side, but apparently they all had some sort of past linked to several members of the company (myself included, although it seemed temporary, and that whole situation is a lot, so I’ll explain later). They launched a deadly attack on the train, killing several passengers and the train crew, in an attempt to steal the tablets. We were able to fend them off and prevent the train from careening off a blown-up bridge when they sabotaged it in retaliation and deliver the tablets safely.''
''The next mission had us investigate gnoll activity near base camp. The gnolls had been involved in other missions, and the company wanted us to see if there was a way to reduce their threat to future expeditions. I went with Amaris, Reedy, Dickweedus, Finny, and Radion via airskiff and found large plumes of smoke coming from some deep holes. We dispatched a gnoll patrol before heading down, discovering a massive gnoll warcamp where several large war machines were being created by a gnoll artificer named Ripjaw. There was also signs of collaboration between the gnolls and myconid creatures, which was a warning sign for future things to come. We were able to disable their forge by releasing the efreeti Scournia that was held captive to power the forge, and she gave us a boon allowing us to create blasts of fire.''
''This one... there was a lot from this mission, on a personal level... Cookie believed that they were able to find another leyline node through the research gathered from the previous missions, and sent a group of us to go investigate. I went with 22, Timothar, Sir Eedryll, Heli, and Thordon via airskiff to the location, which ended up being a gastrosapian village. One of the farmers led us down into the caverns, where a large leyline tree grew, producing magical sap that nourished a large hydra-snail called the Hydrail. Then... Talyth appeared. We shared a brief moment together as he explained that he left me to investigate the leyline exposures, which according to him was unnatural. He invited us to participate in a series of trials to gain access to the leyline tree, which also included a pumpkin cultist named Dynia and a group of strange kobolds led by Oobu. The first stage had us race through the jungle, with vines that fought back against anyone aggressive. The next stage was some sort of bridge that would throw people off if they didn't answer questions truthfully. After that, there was a challenge where one of us (Sir Eedryll ended up getting picked) was briefly possessed by a fey spirit and we had to figure out who it was. The final stage involved trying to take a locket from the Hydrail, which 22 was able to do near-instantly. However, Oobu revealed himself to be a strange mimic parasite and possessed the Hydrail as his kobold friends attacked us. We were able to free the Hydrail from Oobu's control, although he did escape with a warning that Old Alkiminic would rise again. Afterwards, Talyth congratulated us and granted the company access to the leyline tree for future use, while giving me a charcoal drawing of a "William WIgland" who has some sort of connection to me...''
''The mission after that was kind of bittersweet. There was an ice cave that appeared in the middle of the Wilds, which was extremely weird. The company sent a group consisting of Marion, Radion, Amaris, Chrysaor, Fchyla 80, Dickweedus, and myself to investigate and see if there were any possible threats. We found a young white dragon that decided to make their lair in the Wilds under attack by a group of gnolls, who we quickly dispatched. Unfortunately, the dragon (who was fairly innocent here) wouldn’t let us leave, so we had to slay it. I did take a scale and fashion a necklace with it as a memento though.''
''Nettle discovered that fruit from a leyline tree could allow her to make better soups for the company, so I went along with Dickweedus, Dragonett, Thordon, Heli, Pash, and Ahriman to gather the resources. Unfortunately, we found the tree being harvested by a group of gnolls. We fought and defeated the gnolls before they could cause further harm, but we were unable to fully heal the damage. We were still able to collect some fruits to bring back to Nettle, which did help improve her soup stock.''
''Sabbatical had left the company for a while before this mission to return back to the Hells, but sent a dragonborn named Alkiir to camp for a favor. I was selected alongside Thordon, Heli, Lambda, and Amaris to assist him in retrieving some sort of artifact for her fight against demonic forces. We fought some gnolls, fungal demons and a demonic centaur outside the ruins of a temple, which was warded to keep out dragonkin. Alkiir took watch on the surface as we descended down, finding and killing more demons and gnolls that were attempting to gain access to the inner chambers. My white dragon scale necklace granted us entry (probably because it was a trophy from a slain dragon) which led to a giant lizard that nested inside with an obsidian dragon statuette. Thordon was able to peacefully negotiate with the lizard into giving us the artifact, which we then handed over to Alkiir after Amaris checked with Sabbatical to make sure we were doing the right thing.''
''The one after... oh this was a lot to handle, especially since I was overloaded with magic during this mission because I spoke to the leyline tree in Escargotia. One of the survey teams went silent, so Paul sent Chrysaor, 22, Heli, Pash, Mirth, and myself to go check on them. As we were leaving, "Paul" suddenly ran over to join us, which was extremely weird (and lead to trouble later on). We were able to locate the team, who were all fine but stranded since their airskiff got damaged. Upon further inspection, we found signs of sabotage, which was important for later. Lorrie Haslo (who was Lambda's former archeological boss) asked for assistance in clearing out some undead in her search for The Philosopher's Stone, which is a powerful artifact that can transmute anything. We went in and killed all the undead, but we discovered Paul's body with a company knife in the back of his head. Well, technically it wasn't Paul. 22 tried to Revivify "Not-Paul", turned out to be some strange amalgam of flesh. After Heli and Chrysaor performed an unsanctioned autopsy, we went back to the camp and found that there was another survey member who was also similar to "Not-Paul". We also detected a powerful source of transmutation magic directly underneath the camp which I dug up. It ended up being '''The''' Philosopher's Stone, when Not-Paul then reappeared and tried to steal it. Luckily, we were able to defeat it and bring the Stone back to base camp without any other complications.''
''The next mission? It was... strange to say the least. We were contacted by the Warden who was working on a fungal cure to treat the village of grung that other company members placed in their care.  I went along with Rina, Otto, Radion, Cealion, and Pash to assist the Warden in retrieving a magical flower that was closely guarded in Fairyflower Mountain. Because the Warden was unable to negotiate with the fairies for the flower, we were tasked to infiltrate and steal it. With the assistance of a sprite named Teedles, we were given magical disguises and a cover story to gain access to the royal ball, where Princess Everlily was trying to find a suitor to marry so she could rule her kingdom. I was paired with Cealion, who I was mostly trying to just keep out of drunken trouble, and ended up getting kicked out as I tried to cover for him. I don't know the full details of what happened inside, but what I do know is that Pash somehow courted Princess Everlily and they ended up getting married... I don't know the exact circumstances, but the princess must have either been really desperate, or Pash really did swoon the princess. But that's not my business, and Pash is going to be living happily at Fairyflower Mountain now.''
''I would have hoped that the expedition would have gone smoothly, but like I mentioned earlier, we were forced to evacuate base camp when an army of gnolls, cultists, and demons attacked. I don't remember anything, but I was told that I helped gather everything that we could take onto the airskiffs as we escaped. What did happen though... it might be better to provide context before I explain any further. The Green Knight, who kept opposing us, turned out to be a mantle held by several generations. The former Green Knight, Lord Bellephon, was overcome with grief when his son, who was the Green Knight before him, died. This led him to ally with the gnolls to "let the wilds reclaim the land". An expedition apparently found his lair and was able to defeat him, turning him into a helmet that we cast in the main fire to stop him from regenerating. Fast forwarding to the attack on camp... in an attempt to buy other members time to escape, Sir Eedryll took over as the new mantle of the Green Knight. I... it hurts to think of it, since Sir Eedryll was... I'm just going to continue.''
