The Ruins of Ellwick are all that still stands of the previous Gnome village, at the eastern basin of the Burnale Mountains of Osugbo. All that remains of the village as of 467 PR is hundreds of crumbled homes, and the ruins of a former Church of Grumbar, which was lit aflame by Enrik upon his resurrection. Before its destruction, the village had a population of 754.

About[edit | edit source]

Ellwick is the previous home of Enrik, after he immigrated to Osugbo, as well as Bimpnottin.

History[edit | edit source]

Ellwick's history dates back to the Sundering. When humans arrived on Osugbo, a group of curious rock-gnomes from Levinkan came to investigate their sudden appearance, but much like the animal-folk of Osugbo, the Gnomes were shunned. As such, they travelled to the Burnale Moutains range, and made a home for themselves. The village was at constant odds with the Summit Gnomes who lived atop the mountains, and the Burnale Dwarves who lived inside the mountains, as the town was built at the entrance to a cave system that extended into a Dwarven City inside the mountains. The Gnomes of Ellwick would use the caves for mining, but found contest from the Burnale Dwarves who continued digging deeper into the Earth for resources.

Little of the towns history is known before Enrik's arrival, as the town was rarely visited by outsiders, and with Enrik and Bimpnottin being the only known survivors of its destruction, the town records and folktales have been lost to history.

Notable Places[edit | edit source]

The only building of note is the remnants of a church of Grumbar, scarred from fire. All other buildings are crumbled beyond recognition.

Notable Events[edit | edit source]

Enrik arrived in the village in 464 PR, and learned artificing from the Gnomes that lived there, and how to hunt from the only other non-gnome, a Halfling named Bimpnottin.

The village was destroyed in 466 PR during the second month of the Fantasial Freeze by Yukagir, the Mammoth Champion of the Bhearah, who had taken the form of a Giant Bull. Enrik and Bimpnottin are the only known survivors of the attack.
