Puros Hesuchios is the official term for the bright emerald flames that signal the might or presence of Halycone. They are the fusion of the draconic and eldritch fires that were once separate within the body of the god, now brought into harmony.

Why They're Special[edit | edit source]

The Puros Hesuchios are notable for their offensive and restorative powers against eldritch magic and Great Old Ones. In battle, the flames will burn bright and true, and creatures of the Far Realm will tremble and flee or burn and wither.

If a person was damaged in soul or body by Harr-related trauma (colloquially known as SLOBS), a days-long ritual could be performed by a Halcyonite priest to cure them. The afflicted person would be regularly steamed in a sauna lit by the Puros Hesuchios, prayed over, inhale incense, perform set movements at dawn and dusk, rest, and repeat until the flames of Halcyone permeated and the Harr's power was undone. This ritual was in vogue throughout the PR 460s-470s for some reason.

Notable Uses[edit | edit source]

The Puros Hesuchios purified the changeling Luv when they had been corrupted by eldritch energies in Paraska Manor...but unfortunately did not know where and how to stop. With eldritch energies seeping into every mote of air anyone breathed, it continued to devour Luv, ultimately causing their death.
