Ostrom is a large, cursed city located on the eastern coast of Pteris in the Scurflink domain.
About[edit | edit source]
Though the city has a (corrupt) government, many locals are fully aware of the power and control that organized crime has taken. The city guards of Ostrom go by the title of "The Ostrom Watch"
The Curse[edit | edit source]
Some point between the years 100 PR and 300 PR, the city was subjected to a curse which left its skies riddled with perpetual darkness, casting a permanent night on the city.
Major Organized Crime Powers[edit | edit source]
Major players in the Ostrom environment typically take on psuedonyms or titles, and a few are listed here:
- The Bookkeeper, known mostly for dealing out information and running a secret fighting and gambling ring under the warehouse district.
- The Ferret, his "Linebacker" (bodyguard)
- The Hyena, a laughing fool who deals heavily in guns, sex, drugs, and insanity.
- Sir Redar, an undead knight with a domineering hand and tendency to intimidate into getting what he wants.
- Erznik and the Battlemasters
- The KnightBat, a costumed vigilante.
- The Scarecrow, a literal scarecrow.
Places of Interest[edit | edit source]
- Erkrom Asylum, an abandoned ex-mental institute which still ocassionally is used by powers of evil as a stronghold. Located on an island off the shore of Ostrom.
- Rosexa's Inn
- Cornlow Eelmonger's (a "vintage" food shop)
- Invisible Summit (an organization of investigators determined to find out where the city's money is disappearing to)
