Torog is the creator god of the Underdark. Torog is traditionally the god of punishment and pain, whose ideals on struggle and hardship helped mold the basis of the dangerous landscapes of the Underdark.
His relationship to the old-ones, who are also worshipped as creators of the underdark, remains unexplored.
History
Banishment
As the Underdark functions as a "cork" to the Ten Hells below it, it is no surprise that Asmodeus, leader of the ten hells, has tried several times to destroy or otherwise intervene in the Underdark.
In one such instance, Asmodeus had managed to trick Torog into visiting Nessus, not entirely realizing that Asmodeus was so powerful in his home domain that he was able to trap Torog indefinitely in an unholy chamber built for securing items of immense divine power.
