Dino De La Cruz (Pronounced Dee-noh) is a player character in the Qamp Qandela community campaign. He is a Weird Medium played by Manuel.

Physical Appearance

Dino is a relatively taller, slightly bulkier person than most of his peers. He has long, brown hair similar to those of his idols in heavy metal, and brown eyes that usually appear somewhat haunted. His entire person is covered in cuts and scars, including a bite mark on his shoulder "lovingly gifted" to him by his best friend and a fresh stab wound in his stomach. He can often be found wearing jeans and some kind of band t-shirt or leather jacket.

Personality

Dino is a generally laid-back person who wants the best for other people, even if he doesn't really know how to go about giving it to them. He has a tendency to give a lot of tough love, especially to the people closest to him, and doesn't like talking about himself. He also enjoys teasing his friends a healthy amount and deeply enjoys gossip. He is perhaps too willing to fall on the sword for anyone if it means they don't have to be exposed to phenomenon.

History

Dino has been dealing with phenomena since his mother's funeral, where he touched her body, saw the moment of her death, and learned that he brought her no happiness in life. Since then, he's dealt with repeated supernatural influences trying to ruin his life. His father would often send him to his best friend's, Charlotte Kern's, house after his mother's passing, unable to deal with a troubled child and grief at the same time. Anyone he's ever told about the supernatural has dismissed him or called him crazy, including but not limited to his father, best friend, teachers, and doctors. A few notable experiences were when he was somewhat possessed and broke his best friend's ankle after pushing her down the stairs, and when he was stabbed by his possessed former bassist. He was once admitted to a psych ward that offered him schizophrenia treatment, despite him not having the condition in any capacity. Around that time, he promised himself something: if people would never believe him, he had to stop the supernatural from proving him right.
