The people of Arcadia believe in peace and order. The most notable features of Arcadia natives are that their eyes are a solid color resembling those of precious metals; bronze, silver, gold, etc. This fact goes to all of Arcadia's natives, including anyone born within the plane, even if their parents are not from Arcadia. Besides Arcadia's humanoid inhabitants are many awakened animals whose fur and eyes resemble those of precious metals as well. They live in harmony with the humanoids and celestials of Arcadia and even manage many kingdoms of their own within the realm.

Due to Arcadia's natural peace, it is a home and resting place for many plane walkers who seek respite from the dangers of their travels. This includes lost and malfunctioning Modron who have had to flee Mechanus, taking refuge in Arcadia's kingdoms and forests.

After his travels through the planes, the Modron sorcerer [[Aivan Factorovich]] returned to Arcadia and cast a powerful wish spell, raising the new continent of Highgear out from the waters of Arcadia. This land featured towering mountains made of brass, rolling fields of silver grass, and forests of golden leaves. The natural wildlife of this new land were living constructs in the shape of animals.

The city is famous for being the home of the Arcadian Post, a plane spanning parcel delivery company, delivering mail and packages across the realms, all overseen by the enlightened Modron and Postmaster General, MECHaela.

In the heart of the city is an artifact called the [[Staff of Gears]]. It is the key to the city's internal mechanisms and is inhabited by the city's guardian spirit and founder, Aivan Factorovich who used their last wish to wish for the city's protection and prosperity.

Arcadia, also known as The Peaceful Kingdoms of Arcadia, is one of Quelmar's Outer Planes. Arcadia is a lawful plane, where almost all citizens are good, and those who don't strictly follow a good alignment are at worst neutral. Because of this, Arcadia is colloquially referred to as "The plane of the Goody Two-Shoes".

  • Necromancy similarly only works if the revived creatures serve the good of the plane.
  • Wild Magic does not work in Arcadia

Drooz

Drooz (pronounced Drews) is a mind-altering substance found only in Arcadia which gives feelings of lightness and brilliance. During the day, users of Drooz find themselves better with Intelligence based saves/checks, and at night they become attuned to the mysteries of the realm, granted them advantages when deciphering the arcane.

Drooz is non-habit forming, unless smoked or taken orally. Drooz is typically applied via a patch applied to the skin, as is the law in Arcadia.
