Astral Dreadnoughts are massive alien-like serpants that float about the Astral Plane seeking souls who are in travel. Dreadnoughts feast entirely on the silvery soul-stuff that comprises a creature's soul.
About
Dreadnoughts are rumored to be related to Beholders.
If eaten by an Astral Dreadnought, the creature's soul is permanently destroyed and can not be brought back with any sort of divination or resurrection short of a wish.
It is rumored that Dreadnoughts are particularly susceptible to charm abilities.
Abilities
The central gaze of an Astral Dreadnought creates an antimagic field, and creatures in direct light of sight of the Dreadnought lose their magical capabilities.
