Bloodlusters are formidable, yet tragic figures created as that served in a vampyre army in Osugbo.
History
They originated from recruits who were forcibly inducted into the army of a vampyre prince, believed to be a rogue member of the LaCroix bloodline. These unfortunate individuals were subjected to brutal magical rituals over a period of four months, procedures designed to transform them into powerful warriors. While the rituals succeeded in enhancing their physical capabilities, granting them increased strength, swiftness, and resilience, they also inflicted a terrible curse: an unquenchable hunger for blood.
Many recruits perished during these horrific rituals, unable to withstand the transformative process. Those who did survive often succumbed entirely to the overwhelming bloodlust, losing their former identities and becoming bestial in nature, serving as the rank and file of the vampyre army, directed into battle by officers like Cyanocitta.
About
Bloodlusters were primarily deployed to attack settlements, engaging guardsmen and civilian populations alike. Their actions often resulted in the devastation of communities, leaving behind ghost towns as inhabitants were either consumed or abducted to undergo the same gruesome transformation rituals.
