Physical Appearance

Malakai is an average height guy, wears all black, is extremely pale, and wears immaculate eyeliner and black nail polish. Malakai also has black hair and silver eyes.

Personality

Malakai is a depressed sad goth who refuses to conform. When he feels any positive emotions, depending on the circumstance, his smile and laughter is either really genuine and normal, or really creepy and scary. After meeting Garnet, he’s become more open slightly but just barely. Garnet is the first person that has made Malakai feel funny in his chest. He also can’t get her out of his head.

History

Malakai was born in the South Soffit to Jasmine and Rowan Noire. He was born under the new moon and was born really pale. When he was 3, the first time his father took him outside to play, he began crying as his skin turned red and he got a second degree sunburn within no even 5 minutes in the sunlight. He was treated for the sunburn and was diagnosed with a rare skin condition that prevented him from going out in direct sunlight. After that incident, if Malakai wanted to go outside, he was forced to play in the shade and avoid the sunlight. This lead to a very isolated childhood for young Malakai and by age 13, Malakai had heard his first song by The Cure, and he became obsessed with the goth culture and traded all his bright color clothes for black clothes and taught himself how to put on eyeliner he stole from his mother. Jasmine and Rowan, who are a lovey-dovey, positive vibe full couple, did not appreciate this new change in Malakai and tried everything to get Malakai to conform to being what they imagined to be the “perfect son”. But the more they pushed the more Malakai slithered away into the world of shadows. He stole some of his fathers money from his parents interior design business in the South Soffit and bought himself a black umbrella, a deck of tarot cards, and a Ouija board. He then spent less and less time with his family and more time hanging out in graveyards trying to communicate with the dead, trying to make friends. One summer, his parents decided enough was enough and they sent him to Camp Everlight, where they first met, and there he met everyone. He tried his best to avoid everyone and try to leave camp, but he kept getting dragged into things by either Charlotte, Dino, or Kat. He didn’t mind Kat as she was what he called a nonconformist like him as well as Dino, Charlotte seemed nice though. Then there was the old boathouse incident…where he was dragged to hang out with the group at the old boathouse, where it was full of fireworks. Mal and Dino started smoking and then all of a sudden, the fireworks got lit and they went off, causing a huge explosion. In the end, Malakai was the only one who got in trouble for the incident and had to clean up the mess by himself.
