The Anema Institute of Discovery (AID) is an organization founded by Anema E. Core for the discovery and investigation of all things Quelmar. AID is a subsidiary of Sick of this Shit Inc. and is broken up into two sects. The Order of Sages and The Order of Mages.
AID has several contracts with other companies in the area, including membership benefits for Sick of this Shit Inc. in Granite, and access to the latest in technological innovations thanks to its proximity to Pendergras Industries
Scholars who worked in the plane jumping field were known as "AIDstronauts".
History
Founding
The Organization's original foundation occurred in Sneerwell, where Anema was living, and where he had considerable pull with the local nobility (having saved the town during The Battle of E Core Arena).

The Fiddlehead Institute (Underdark Research)
The Fiddlehead Institute was set up on the east side of the mountains of Pteris, in the Spineswad domain, to research what the scholars were calling "The Underspace". Several creatures were discovered who originated from this strange plane, including Mind Flayers, who AID called the "Ill-Indeeds". This research included digging up ancient artifacts and speaking to shamans and storytellers, who told rumors of a world deep underneath Quelmar.
One particular research led AID founder Anema to follow psionic signatures matching those of the Ill-indeed all the way to Nymphsview where the group known as the Dark Sons had stolen Illithid technology and used it to enslave hundreds of Gith.
It would culminate with a join project, headed by Pleth Ventures, to dig deep into the ground, creating a massive tunnel directly into The Underdark.
AIDING
Short for "Anema Institute of Discovery: Interplanar Navigation and Guidance", AIDING was a wing that involved both Sages and Mages alike in helping research related to the Outer Planes.
