Azhazni was the wife of the Lord of the Ten Hells Asmodeus and mother of the archdevil Glasya. In the early BR era, she is murdered by a team of adventurers secretly sent by the archdevil Mammon.
Physical Appearance
In her fiendish form, Azhazni appeared as a tall and beautiful archdevil with red skin flecked with white and dark horns. But this is just the form she takes while in the Hells, as her true form is that of a towering celestial giant made of light and the elements.
History
Azhazni was a celestial giant created by the creator of the giants Othea in the divine realm of Thalmyr. When Asmodeus and his armies of angels invaded Thalmyr to kill Othea, Azhazni betrayed her creator to aid Asmodeus. After Thalmyr was turned into the Hells, Azhazni and Asmodeus were married and had a child, Glasya.
Azhazni was an idealist and had dreams of transforming the Hells into something new, a prosperous home for her daughter to grow up in. But her dreams conflicted with he plans of the archdevil Mammon, whose schemes Azhazni could see right through, up until his last. Stealing Asmodeus' blade from when we was an archangel, Mammon fashioned it into a weapon that could kill any devil, a revolver known as the Vaulkner. He then secretly put together a team of adventurerous heroes who had a grudge against the Hells and sent them off with the Vaulkner with the mission to kill Azhazni, hoping he could take advantage of the Paragon Principle.
And to Mammon's delight the team of adventurers was successful, managing to use the Vaulkner to slay Azhani. Even though Asmodeus tortured everything he could out of the team of heroes and had his devils scour the realms, Mammon was careful enough to clean up his tracks and made sure nothing about the assassination could tie back to him.
