The Scattering ocurred in 35 BR, and marked one of the first hostile activities between the newly arrived time-keepers of Quelmar, the Humans, and Quelmar's long-established natives. In this case the Quelmar natives were the Elven folk of Isonhound.
Results
Humans that were banished into the mountains and forests of Osugbo would wind up establishing colonies there in the midst of its large populations of Beastfolk, leading to further warfare.

In 35 BR, an event known as The Scattering took place across the world. After three fleets of ships of unknown origin sailed into the seas of Quelmar, Humans entered the world. Their first port of call was on Ironhound, in a region inhabited by the Folk Courts. After The M—- fleets created a colony in their name, The Seelie Court became fed up with their Colonialisation attempts to the forest surrounding them and thus built a game. The rules of the game were simple, the Faerie that could teleport the most Human settlers off of the Court’s land won.* Thus began the Scattering.
In the eyes of Osugboh and the Animal Folk that inhabited the southern part of the continent, this teleported incursion of Humans was most unwelcome. The Humans began to colonize the land as they had done on Ironhound and thus caused intense friction with the Animal Folk who lacked the whimsical ability to teleport their unwelcome guests away.* *source - an ancient book about Quelmar in the library of Nymphsview on Pteris. The Human - Animal Folk War
On Osugboh this war is often talked about in tandem with The Scattering, as the Faerie game resulted in a brutal war between the Animal Folk of Osugboh and the New Human Colonists.*1
As the conflict of land began to grow, so did the explosions of violence between the Humans and Animal Folk, until an all out War began on the Continent.
The main players of this war can be also found today in the many names of prominent Human and Animal Folk families across the continent. If you have ever heard of the Kiyoni, Steelcheck, La Croix or Mae names, you would have heard of a family that had a hand in the main conflict that forged the cultural landscape of Osugboh today.*2
In contrast, many names of the generals and significant figures in the wars have been lost to academia. However, recently certain of these names have been whispered by those who have ventured into Orbis or come across the Blowhole at the center of Ravel.
The Cailleach Bhearra, often referred to as the Bhearra singularly, was a leader of the Animal Folk in the War*3. Her name is now whispered in the wind by those who have descended to Orbis and back again.
Hrimpthursar, more commonly known as Saurus, was the leader of the Frost Armies and the Ally to The Cailleach Bhearra.*4 As it was her, the Bhearra who invoked Hrimpthursar, to fight in opposition to the Humans.*5 Now though, you can see Saurus as the Guardian of the Blowhole in Ravel.
Without the help of the Frost Giants, the Animal Folk would have lost the war and would have had to surrender much of their land to the Human Colonists. In the conflict, many of the Frost Giants laid down their lives to serve their leader, Hrimpthursar, and in thanks, they were turned undead to continue the fight by The Cailleach Bhearra and her followers.
In order to continue to use the strong bodied, but few in army number, Frost Giants to fight back the Human Colonists, the Animal Folk armies and lead families turned to Corpse Stitching to revive the dying Giants.*6
In the end, the Animal Folk won the brutal conflict at the cost of the Frost Giants. They pushed the Humans to a few small settlements across Osugboh, most famous of which is Balabag, the home of the powerful Kiyoni family.
However, at the end of the war the Corpse-Stitched Frost Giant Soldiers were deemed Abominations by the Animal Folk they had laid their lives down to fight alongside.*7 The names of those cast aside are thus: Shemai, Yown, Moyne, Eggla, Luwhor, and Benshai.*8 It is unclear if Hrimpthursar was illuminated to the Animal Folk’s Corpse-Stitching of the Frost Giants and hurt his own people, or was also cast aside after the war.
As of writing this, the length of the war and battle details have not been recorded or discovered by the author. Though regardless of the length of the conflict or the detailed battle tactics, the rest of these notes should help illuminate how much this conflict has had an effect on the current lives of Osugboh today.
