Summary
The Cainhurst Collection is the common name referring to the large number of artifacts, relics, and treasures that reside inside the ruins of the Cainhurst estate. The collection's manifest is all but lost with the death of Lord Lynwick Cainhurst after rumors spread he consorted with blood demons and he was executed for heresy. Despite the loss of it's master, the collection remains illusive to most as the Cainhurst estate lays within Cainhurst Keep atop the Mountain of Bone in the Forest of Bloodbrambles. In addition to its dangerous local, the keep is still guarded by the extensive number of traps Lord Cainhurst developed as well as his menagerie of monster companions that escaped their captivity and now wander the estate. Some pieces of the collection have surfaced as well as rumors of other items rumored to still be in the estate.
Traps, Monsters, and Features of Cainhurst Estate
- The grounds are said to be shrouded in an insidious mist that disorients intruders. It has made it impossible to map or navigate the estate as the rooms, corridors, and yards of the estate seem to shuffle around.
- The collection is scattered throughout the estate. Even if an expedition could safely traverse the grounds for weeks they'd like only find a small fraction of the estate.
- An extensive number of spirits, undead, and fiends occupy the ground.
- A massive (size estimated to be 50x normal) displacer beast. (Rumored based off sounds heard on the estate).
- Young green and black dragons have claimed the estate and area around the estate for various amounts of time and encountered adventurers with various degrees of lethalness.

Additional Information
While the ruins of the Cainhurst Estate have laid unoccupied for over a hundred years, expeditions to the caste have become possible because the incredibly territorial adult dragon Valanym, who included the Forest of Bloodbrambles in their terratory, was slain by a band of adventurers in the year 802 PR. This has allowed easier travel to the estate but also a greater number of foolhardy adventures dying there.
